Just wondering if anybody has bothered to run a test on how well the keyboards on all vostros and inspirons are sealed.
I'm also wondering whether mine is actually sealed at all...In the top left corner I can see an opening and a small patch bit of blue..wiring maybe.
Also, does the "strike zone" on the bottom of the notebook really do anything? I've read in a couple of places that there really isn't any extra protection on the harddrive. is this true?
Thanks a bunch,

No, no one has willingly 'tested' the keyboard, but if you're offering to poor water on you're computer then go for it...
I can assure you theres not one blue cable on these machines, at least I never seen any in the millions of times I took mine apart.
The strike zone is just added padding if the machine was to drop.
And the hard drive is very secure in a all round housing.
If you looked at some threads posted here, I'm pretty sure they can convince you, these machines are pretty drop proof. Only thing that happen after being dropped was minor comedic damages. -
You can check out my post on that.

Deity All The Way..
Anybody tested the "spill proof" keyboard on the vostro and inspirons?
