I mean, between the fact of how much I paid...the gift card im getting, the performance, it's great. I have a dozen of the latest games on it and it runs most of the on high no problem. Being that it's my desktop replacement, the 17" screen is amazing, i'm just showing some love to lower the hate on this front page :p

Yup, quickest laptop I've ever owned (apart from the 7950gtx in my old 1710).
It amazes me how I can blaze through encoding, games on high settings, etc and still have 5 hour battery life for full days of lectures with no power points around. What amazes me even more is the ability to do the same on power that it does on the battery, something both my m1710 and m1730 couldn't do.

The 17" screen is great, love the wuxga res. Allows productivity to be great with so much screen estate.
My only problem with it is that it the built in speakers lack bass and are too tinny for my liking and if I want to resort to headphones or using my sound system I have to put up with that **** annoying humming sound.

    its great!

playing gears of war, tiberium wars and call of duty 4 at full resolution and medium-high settings is what i always wanted, and i got it for three times less than a basic m1730.

the screen is the perfect size, but sadly mine has a lot of backlight bleeding and the whites sort of glitter, but Dell should be fixing that for me soon.

otherwise, in my opinion its the best value for money....wait for it.....on earth! :)
