Has anybody connected their 1520 / 1500 laptop to the large screen LCD HDTV's using the following methods:-

    1. VGA out on laptop to PC in of HDTV (VGA-in)
    2. S-video out on laptop to HDTV-in (component / s-video / composite)

    - How is the picture quality??
    - How is the gaming experience on these screens??
    - If the resolution supported by the VGA-in (PC-in) of the LCD HDTV is 1360x768 can I consider the lack of HDMI to be of not much significance since anyways the HDMI-in also supports the same resolution?

It will probably be the same quality as the connection of an HDTV with a desktop ;)
