Anybody actually receive a Green 1520 ordered in mid July?

Anyone who has ordered a Green 1520 in July actually receive thir unit?

Mine is in boxing and is supposed to actually ship 08/28. We will see. If not heads will roll

 

Not me. July 15th here. I'm really hoping it will ship soon, but tomorrow is my ESD and it was in build last I checked. Seems REAL unlikely that it'll ship on 8/28, but maybe it won't be weeks from now? Ugh. Six weeks and counting.

I ordered a green 1520 on 07/16 - my ESD is still 08/28 and I'm still in the build stage.

There's a post from a big-wig about the Inspiron delays on www.direct2dell.com now. I read in one of the replies that someone was told they were expecting around 100 orders a day for green laptops and ended up with over 250 a day. That doesn't explain why we haven't heard of even one shipping, though.

 

My cousin's Green 1520 which was purchased on July 15th went into Boxing a few days ago... Should ship today or tomorrow.

My original order date was 7/13
1st ESD - 8/1
2nd ESD - 8/28
3rd ESD - 9/5 (I think this is the new 8/28!)
Can't believe I got delayed again on the same day!! Now my ESD shows as 9/10!!

8/27 still shows "In Production" (whatever that means)
Spoke with CSR today and they claim it is shipping tomorrow . . . I'm not real hopeful. But, if they delay me again there is going to be some serious compensation demanded!! This was supposed to be for a 7/24 birthday present for my daughter. Looks like a Christmas present now :confused2:

According to a rep on the dell chat my laptop shipped today (although the Dell site hasn't been updated yet).. so mine could be shipped! I'm from Canada..

 

Just got off the automated line and mine says it has shipped. With no tracking info or who it is going out with. Also the EDD is 8/30 to 9/3 which is weird because I had next day shipping. Anyone know what that is about?

 

Don't pay any attention to the EDD since that is false... If you were upgraded to NBD Delivery, you'll more than likely get it the next day unless Dell lied to you... That is why I confirmed it when they gave it to me, since the first CSR lied..

The order status system doesn't always get the EDD right. As long as your carrier has it listed as next business day, it'll be fine.

I have no update on mine. I called the automated check and its still in the build stage. It better be shipping tomorrow!!

 

Thanks for the info. After freaking out I finally got the DHL information and their website says its next day. I hope that means good things for everyone else.

 

No delivery for me. I was changed from the 8/28 ESD to 9/05. It does sound like people who ordered a day or two ahead of me are getting theirs, so maybe there is hope yet.

 

Sigh, yeah. I was pushed back to September 5th today, too. I have to respond to their email or get canceled. At least it's only a week of delay this time. Maybe it will ship sooner. It's great that I'm planning on going away this weekend, though. It'll probably ship while I'm out of town.

 

Wow, I just checked my order and it shows it SHIPPED as of 09/01 and it was delivered to the hub in my area today 09/02 at 9:43pm. This sux though as its Laborday weekend and I won't be getting it for another day or so. Think I will get it. The upgraded me to next business day shipping however on my dell confirmation its stated it was shipped dhl express ground. Think they lied again.
