My e1505 is about 2.5 years old. Recently the battery led has started flashing a short orange light 3 or 4 times and then flashing a long green light. Apparently this means it's time to replace the battery. I rarely use this laptop on battery power, so i have no intention on replacing the battery for dell's nominal fee.

However, the light is annoying. Is there any way to disable this light from pestering me?

You could just remove the battery. Its your only option really.
