I just got a 7200RPM HD to replace the 5400RPM one that came with my Vostro. I was thinking about using the 5400RPM one as a secondary HD in the second bay but is there any way to disable the HD (maybe in BIOS) so that it doesn't add any power drain? I mean can I set it to disabled and in so doing have it stop drawing power whatsoever? If I'm travelling the battery life is bad enough as it is and I don't need the extra HD space THAT much yet.

    TIA for any input.
