    What's up,
New e1505 owner here with these specs:

    T2300 processor
    512 RAM (1 Dimm)
    40 GB hard drive
    24X CD Burner/DVD Combo Drive
    Intel Integrated 950 graphics
    6 cell battery
    1390 wireless card

Basically a low end machine for $601.00 shipped with taxes included. I want to upgrade the RAM to 1GB right away and I was wondering what precautions I should take when adding ram to the computer. I understand there's just a slot on the bottom of the laptop where you "plug it" in, but I'd like to know if it's as simple as that. I'd also like to know how many "Pins" I need to look for on the type of RAM i need to buy as well.
Well thanks for reading and thanks again when you can reply!
    Jay

Also any recommendations on which brand of RAM i should get? I hear OCZ, Crucial, and Cosair are good brands.

go to www.crucial.com and use their system scan. It will tell you basic details about your system and advise on the best memory to get. You don't have to buy from Crucial, but it will let you know what type you need.
