This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Any sign of 1520 reviews yet?

    We know someone named Andrew here has the notebook, and he's done an exterior review of it, but nothing detailed. So I'm wondering if anyone's seen any other reviews?

    Andrew is the site administrator for NBR (any guy in red is an admin, green/purple are mods), and he's working on a full review right now. From what he was telling me, they need to push out the full review fairly quickly for Dell. So if you wait about a week or so (I'd guess...maybe even sooner) it will probably be up.

    I'll look forward to the review. The exterior review was great, and I'm sure the interior will be just as good, if not better.

    He also has a review unit from what I understand which isn't exactly the same as a regular production unit. The earliest scheduled arrivals are for July 16th (July 13th ship date with overnight shipping) so you should see a review by the 20th or so at the latest.

    I do reviews at another hardware enthusiast site, and what a lot of people don't realize is its a lot of work to do reviews. You have do address every possible angle you can think of, test every function, well if your a good reviewer that is. From the couple of reviews I have read though you guys seem to be on the ball.

    Yeah, your totally right. I actually wanted to do a review for the 1520 for this site, but Andrew said that he's got it all under control which is completely fine. I think I'm gonna do one anyways, can't hurt :D. I'll probably have it up on this site around the....... 24th? I'll have my laptop on the 19th/20th.
