    Any rumours about Radeon 5650 in the 1558?

    Has anyone heard any rumours about an upgrade to the 1558? I'm thinking about a new notebook at the 1558 would be perfect if it had a 5650.

    There are rumours the 5650 will be in the studio 1749. Looking at the configurations right now, I guess the 1558 will most likely get something like the 5470. That seems to make sense when you looks at the positioning of de S15 in Dells line up.

    Only the 5470 ? In Europe Packard Bell is selling the TJ75 with a Core i5 and a 5650 for less than 600 € including taxes (that usually translates to less than $600 in the US).

    I'd much prefer having a Dell even if it is more expensive, but it has to be decently powerful.

    Well, I really hope it will be more than the 5470, but im trying to think what Dell will do. They have several levels in their laptops now.

    Now:

    s15 ati 4570
    s17 ati 46x0

    Coming:

    s15 ?
    s1749 ati 5650

    So according to the differences between the s15 and 17 now, I assume the s15 will get a lower card than the s17 again, so most likely no 5650. But that is just me theory, i can be wrong.

    Ps. Are you sure about the PB? I only see it with the i3 and intel 5500 graphics for that price! Cheapest i5 + 5650 here is an acer for about 900 euro's

    My bad, the <600 € is the Core i3 version, the Core i5 430M goes for 684 € + shipping (Pixmania in France). That is still a really good price though.
