For those of us that ordered a couple weeks back and had that issue with the LED sku being messed up...did anyone get a straight answer of whether it will be fixed or not. I just built and ordered/canceled my exact config and it looks like the SKU on the newer orders has been changed to:

320-5583 13.3 Inch Wide Screen WXGA TL WLED Backlit LCD with Camera

but on mine and many others it is just:

320-5591 Slim and Light LCD with Matte Black Casing and Camera XPS M1330

Do you think we should wait and see what happens, or call to try and get a resolution. I don't really want to call because I got a great deal and don't want them to up and cancel my order...

There is no resolution...no. This thread details my adventurers in trying to solve this:

I have had 6 cancellations and reorders in 3 days and it will only go to 5589 and not 5583. I, on the other hand, have another almost exact order which is 5583.

XPS Support advised to wait until the system comes in and see what it is because, in fact, it does detail "slim and light" in the quote so...if its not, they will just send the right machine and you get use of the wrong one until the right one arrives. When it does, simply trade off your HDD,

Yea thats what I figgured I would do just wait and see. But I wonder if Customer Care would dispute the fact that you got the LED screen if it says slim and light....

The resolution for me is that if your confident in what you ordered then thats what you'll get. It doesn't make too much sense for us to keep analyzing dell skus.

Initially i wondered about it then i asked customer service and they confirmed i was getting an led screen. I double checked my initial order form and it said in english that i ordered the led so all i can do is wait for my notebook to come.

I have this in an email from XPS Tech Support and another which confirms it fm Cust Care:

"I promise you that at the end of the day we will ensure you get the right screen (the slim LED with the VGA camera- not the regular LCD). Whether this means an exchange within the first 30 days of receiving the system (which will be the case if we stick with this order) or if circumstances end up that we have to order the black LED and change the plastics to red then we will do that."

Sounds good to me...yea we always have the return option. But I would really hate to have to wait another month to get a replacement unit.

Yes but you keep your system until the replacement comes in with XPS Support.

Then all u do is switch the hard drive in both systems and tadaaaa.
