I am getting an M1330 soon and decide on 2GB of RAM.
Just wondering in what situations would more the 2GB be helpfull.
I do keep many applications running in the background.
Just to note I will be getting the discrete Nvidia graphics option which doesnt hog system resources.
    Thanks

With Vista there's superfetch. So the more ram the better.

Playing Oblivion smoothly , i guess 2 GB is enough.

Normally Vista takes around 600MB of memory , hopefully SP1 ( Final Version ) Will boost the performance and uses less Memories :D

As of now, 2GB RAM are more than enough, in the future you may need more. Therefore: get more RAM in the future, not now.

2nd , since you can put on the ram yourself , you can buy 2GB ram ( In the future , the ram will be cheap , even laptops ram , trust me ) , and upgrade the laptop yourself.

    Save $$ :D
