    Any problems with XP Pro on XPS 1530?

    I'm sorry to keep asking about a system which I have not yet bought - and I did do a search before posting this - are their any known BIOS or driver problems with loading XP Pro on the XPS 1530? I mentioned in another (LCD) thread that I had to sell an HP dv2700t because HP has stymied XP being loaded on the dvX700 series by tweaking ACPI settings in the BIOS. Any input would be appreciated...

    Having owning one in the past (however brief it was) you can put XP on it.

    Has links to it--two little tips:

    * make sure your xp disc has the sata drivers slip streamed or accessible in some other way
    * install the sound card drivers through the device manager, not the setup program
