This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    The Dell Studio XPS 13 is no longer on the US website and in canada, they recently changed its price, it's more expensive (???)

    Considering the specs of other machines, the Studio XPS 13 should be upgraded very very soon with i5 cpus.

    Studio 17 series bios just got a update, supposedly to support the ATI 5xxx series gpu.
    I'm hoping for a good 1080p or wuxga (RGB?) screen in combination with i7 720qm cpu to go with it.

    I really like my XPS 13, and have to recommend it now that they're getting the throttling issue sorted (see the other threads related to that)
