Just wondering if anyone has been able to get an upgrade of any kind because of delays. Even upgraded shipping?

I ordered a 1420. Original ship date was yesterday, but was revised yesterday to this coming monday ( additional 5 days).

next day air for free is pretty standard if there are any delays. call customer service and complain, they should hook you up.

just tried -- they didn't seem willing to budge. What's funny is that my system is "in boxing stage" and it's delayed. How long does it take to put a laptop in a box and tape it shut? I mean, did they run out of tape?

"boxing" stage is when the laptop is boxed up in Malaysia or wherever, and then shipped to the Destination Country. Once it arrives there, it's then handed over to the courier that will deliver it. DHL in the states. Once the courier accepts the box, it has officially "Shipped".

So, boxing includes some of the shipping process.

I was supposed to get overnight shipping and it showed that on my account but it was shipped ground but it only took two days anyway. I also got a $75 credit. They actually offered me $100 but then when they realized they had also already given me a $75 gift card for not getting the accessories that it used to come with they said $75 was the best they could do because there was no margin left in my order since I had gotten such a good deal in the first place. I then ended up getting another $100 credit for them not shipping it overnight like they promised after I threatened to return it.
