Almost placing the order for the new Vostro 1200 with T5470, 2GB RAM and DVD writer. Do you think I shoulkd go for a 2ghz processor?

My requirement is for a lightweight travel laptop for surfing, mail, and digital image storage and back ups.

Do you guys think this would be a good choice? I currently have an Acer 5673 [I think] which is 15" and 3kg so I thought a 12", 2kg would be noticably smaller/lighter.

Cant find any reviews as this is a new launch.

Would be grateful for any help/suggestions.

    Regards,

    Deepak

They are currently not selling that computer in the U.S. Wow, i did not know you could get a 2ghz processor with a computer that small. The 1.6ghz is more than enough for surfing, mail, digital image storage and back ups.

Yea Just stick with the 1.6. Less heat and lower voltage will give better battery life.
