I'm about to sign up for a Dell preferred account, but I'm a tad hesitant. Are there any hidden fees/annual fees/spending limits/annual spending minimums, etc. I should know about?

To my knowledge i checked everything out. If your doing a no interest plan just make sure to hit payments by every due date or they might cancel it and charge interest from the beginning.
Lol i just answered your subject. Anyway no theres no annual minimum or hidden fees, spending limit is what ever they give you as a credit limit. I my self b4 the credit card act went into effect recieved a 2k limit. Im 20 and a student if that helps. Just like any other credit card be smart and make sure you pay it off as soon as possible. They dont allow you to exceed your limit either. my system was a bit over 2k so i paid 1999 on my DFS and then the rest with another card. Hope this helps. -
Nope, I've had very good luck using a DPA account on everything from laptops to desktops to XBoxes. Make sure you get the 3% extra discount for using the DPA. If you're doing checkout online tell it you're using a credit card when you start checkout and then pick the DPA account there, rather than start with the DPA.

I had one issue with DPA - paying. Every time I went to there site to pay, it was under maintenance or had some issue. Granted I just called and made the payment (they waived the fee), but still it was pain.

About the Down time, So far i only noticed it once. And it wasnt a problem since i was just making sure of the posting date. I get my statement online and 1-2 day later i set a paydate and amount to post a few days b4 the duedate to make sure theres no problems.

With Dell DPA....just be sure to make your payment on time..and your good to go. (paying off if you can even, better).
And, if you do the Deferred financing on a purchase (ie. 12 months interest free)..be sure you have your purchase paid off w/in that time allowed. Or, they will "smack you hard" with all that Accrued Interest, at the very soonest of the expiration of the deferred financing.
Oh, with the 3% savings if you chose to pay with Dell DPA at check out ~ you can also use Bing Cashback (right now at 5%) for even more savings A nice combo for additional saving!

I have really like it. The 0% financing is great. Just pay your bill on time and pay it off before 0% interest expires and you'll be fine. No hidden fees or anything, just a high interest rate outside the promos.
Any fine print in the Dell preferred account I should know about?
