That's kind of sad... I just ordered my vostro 1500 for 920 yesterday and thought I was getting a heck of deal with the sale they got going on now...

yeah sorry i was away from the computer.. what happens with these is they are good for one use only so the ones i supplied as you were picking out your notebook someone else must have added to their cart and used it you gotta be fast with these ones guys.. if you can still find one use em quick once they are added to someones cart thats it unless they remove the coupon..

Did you just go with the package ? If so then no it's cheaper the way you did it.

 

My specs are the same as yours and I paid $599 + shipping. I am almost sure that there was no way to get it cheaper.

Why didn't you guys just buy one off ebay? That's what I did and it only cost me $3 to save an additional $130 over the $215 smart value package savings.

The 25% coupon will erase the $215 off bundle savings but if you build a computer with nice configuration then it's worth it. Not worth it if you went with the basic laptop.

I was also able to downgrade some options when I build from scratch compared to the bundles. Got an 80GB hard drive instead of 120GB. Got 512mb RAM instead of 1GB (already bought 2GB on my own and will install so no point to get 1GB over 512mb if I am not using it).

I received my Vostro 1500 today that was ordered on 7/20 and will be returning this one with the satisfactory guarantee once I get my new one and save $130.
