I 've heard that ATI video card doesn't produce good white color on your truelife screen and it's true on my Samsung screen(you can notice by look closely to the screen and u can see little grey dots.. its grainy looking on white color and other color too ,except black). Compare to my friend's alienware laptop with my screen , they look totally different. The color and brightness of Alienware screen is better than mine.

Is this true with every screen with ATI X1400 or mine is just a defective screen?
    ( i have E1705)

    Alienwares > Dell

    Even though Dell bought Alienware.

    Except Alienware is just overpriced.

It's the screen, not the X1400

ati' is the best hands down for accurate color and image quality among consumer level video chips

    This is largely arguable.

For the accurate colour issue, it's the issue of LCD screen, not the graphic card itself.

Same here with the truelife LCD. I got his grainy look on the white backgound. Also, I notice there are wavy patterns on the screen when I look under certain reflection. It seems that the truelife coating is not completely flat as a glass surface. Anybody see the same thing?
