    i've been aware of the cpu whine problem.. but most posts are for xps 1330s... has anyone had issues with 1420s or other laptops for that matter?

    no whine on mine. at least none that i can hear without putting my ear right to the chassis.

    nope. i barely use headphones as it is but on testing it, there is nothing.
