Although Dell no longer offers Adamo 13 or the Adamo Xps, anyone have info/speculation on whether dell will eventually release such thin/light/luxury models in the near future?

dell have already said while the xps 15 and 17 were refreshed, the xps 14 is discontinued and a new thin laptop of similar size and quality will take over the roles of the xps14 and adamo when released sometime soon.

so something is coming. and i'd expect it to turn up sometime in the next month or two out of the blue with its new design, much as the previous xps refresh kinda came out of the blue without any image or spec leaks.

then any speculation on designs? i definitely thought the edgy and sharp design of adamo is worth buying, but not the xps which looks like a giant inspiron mini..

The new XPS 14 is likely to be a design that borrows from the Adamo and not so much the Inspiron. Here's the post on Engadget regarding Dell confirming such a thing, however note that the timeframe is "later this year" which sounds more like end of summer or fall before it arrives.
