To say I'm frustrated with Dell's Canadian counterpart would be the understatement of the year. Firstly, the deals on there are HORRIBLE. Honestly, the Canadian dollar is within 5% of the American dollar right now, but Dell's prices aren't even close to that. Everything is marked up horribly, and they have NO good deals!

No matter how I build it, I can't get an Inspiron 1520 (that has half decent **** in it) for less than $1600. On the other hand, on the American site, I can get it for $1200 fully loaded. To make matters worse, none of the posted coupons work for the Canadian site.

    Basically, I was wondering if:

    1) Anyone has had any luck with the Canadian site.
    2) Anyone has coupons which work on Dell Canada.

    Thank you.

call them. you probably wont save much in comparison to if you bought it from US but you should be able to talk the price down.

Really? Maybe I had bad luck, but I called both the Canadian and US constituents 3 times in total and all 3 times I spoke with an extremely unhelpful salesperson who had little more to say than "No you can't ship to Canada off the US site".

Can you actually haggle with them? Like maybe I can give them the price I got from the US site and they can match it in Canadian dollars, THAT would be nice haha.

Yeah mine came to about the same from Dell Canada, and yes I did haggle with the rep on the phone. I ordered before the faster processors were available for the 1420 for dell canada.

This is my question, none of those coupons posted worked for me on Dell Canada... I tried the $300 one and a few others, yet they worked for me on the US site...

    What did you do?

 My dell Rep said I couldn't apply that coupon to my 1520 as it already had one ($240) and even though there is a $60 savings and the coupon WAS FOR THE 1520, he said he couldn't do it!

Lol, yah that happend to me about 5 times aha.
Had to call in the 6th time to find a very nice rep..
He also tried to convince me on getting the 3 year complete care, for a cheaper price, but was too pricey for me in the end.
That guy had great customer service compared to all the other reps I spoke with on the phone and in person!
