I've ordered my 1400 (finally), and I have read things about warped bottoms, grainy screens, etc. I was hoping that I could get a general consensus of flaws to look out for (Dell says it ships the 10th).

The best advice you can possibly get on this is just use the laptop and decide what YOU find wrong with it. Stuff like the grainy screen can not even be seen by some people, yet they worry about it so much they make threads like "I can't tell if this is grainy, help!" Everyone is getting so paranoid about this stuff now :O

Also your battery will likely wobble, its no big deal.

If it does...it will be sent back and replaced.

Agreed. So many posts asking for opinions/tips on how to see a flaw.

Be your own judge. If something looks "funny", then do the research to identify it. Otherwise kick back and actually try to enjoy the machine.

    Good luck.

Well my 1400 has great quality screen but the DVD drive gives out these "cliching sounds" so I ordered a replacement. other than this, everything is OKAY~

alright...i'm talking about the "major" build issues though. like the uneven bottom, the wobbly battery and stuff. i guess i'll just have to wait 'till the 15th (est. arrival) to find out.
