I've gotten a chance to see the specs for my soon-to-be-delivered 620, and I've got the LG screen on my 620 (WXGA+ w/ the nVidia graphics card). There are tomes written about all of the bad screens. What percentage are fine? Does getting the LG screen = impending doom (and a return to Dell)?

If there is any optimism to be had, please chime in!

    Thanks,

I got an E1505 with a Samsung, and it had a bad VGA out port, and the replacement has the LG.

The LG is pretty much superior in brightness and the viewing angles are less fussy.

I have the LG WXGA+ with Quadro NVS110M on my D620; it's not perfect or as good as my Samsung TFT but its adequate for what I do. Unless a guaranteed replacement offer comes up from Dell, I shan't bother getting it replaced.

Good Points: Its fairly bright, its clear (1440 x 900).
Bad Points: Grainy, needs lots of tweaking of nVidia settings to get colours right.
