    Hi,

I've looked through the threads here but didn't really see any decent pictures of the Dell 1520. Can anyone take some please?

    I was hoping to buy:

    BASE Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T7500 Processor (2.2GHz,800MHz,4MB L2 cache)
OPERATING SYSTEM Genuine Windows Vista™ Home Premium - English
COLOUR CHOICE Jet Black Colour with Matte Finish & Integrated 2.0 mega pixel web camera
    LCD 15.4" Widescreen WXGA+ (1440x900) TFT Display with TrueLife™
    MEMORY 2048MB 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [2x1024]
HARD DRIVE 160GB (5400RPM) SATA Hard Drive
GRAPHICS CARD nVidia® GeForce™ Go 8600M GT with 256MB DDR2 dedicated graphic memory
OPTICAL DRIVE Fixed Internal 8X DVD+/-RW Drive including Software
PRIMARY BATTERY Primary 9-cell Lithium-Ion Battery (85 WHr)

Which is the ideal spec for me, perfect... I was just about to order then I saw this:

Now, I'm not usually one to complain about the looks of a laptop but... eww, that keyboard and general inside layout looks hideous (the one on the right). Is it just the picture or does it really look that bad in person because if so that's defiantly put me off.

I'd greatly appreciate any comments or pictures, Thanks!

edit: Also if it doesn't look that bad, Is it very quiet and usable on your lap? It looks rather big.

In case you haven't noticed, the 1520 is also very thick.

Brian G, take a look at the 6500 and 1520 first look. They mention the 1520 is very sturdy with 0 flex, its silent, and remains very cool compared to the HP 6500.

That is the one part of the laptop that I like the most, in general I loathe laptop keyboards, but the Dell actually looks like a desktop keyboard, so hopefully it behaves like one.
