Hey, I clean formatted my XPS M1530 as soon as I got it, so I don't know if this is a problem that pre-existed. I was hoping someone could help. After re-installation of everything, I can play DVDs and Blu-Ray discs just fine when my computer is on. But when it's off and I'm just in Media Direct, when I go to "Movies" it gives me a message that there is "no DVD drive detected, continue?" All other parts of Media Direct work and I auto-installed all upgrades for the Blu-Ray player itself (which it prompts you to do). Is this just me?

Since I ordered a replacement and this XPS is going back, it's not a BIG deal but I don't want to mess up my new one, too. Thanks, as always, for the help, guys.

If you followed the instructions for reinstalling media direct, it should work fine. You have to install media direct first before installing the OS, IIRC.
I don't know what else to tell you. I think Blu Rays can't play in media direct because it doesn't have the DRM set up to do that.
