    Are the any member's here?That own the Dell Inspiron 6000.The Intel Celeron M 360(1.40GHz,1MB Cache,400MHz FSB) 15.4"Widescreen XGA Display
    256MB Shared DDR2 SDRAM
    40GB Hard Drive
    24x CD Burner/DVD Combo Drive
    Integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900
    Wireless card not included(but can be added)
    Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005

    I've seen post;by owners of the Pentium M version!!

    The Celeron M is a fine CPU, but do not expect good battery life from it. It cannot slow the CPU to perserve the battery like a Pentium M.

    It'll always be plugged up most of the time.I never really use the batteries.The 6000 will be a desktop replacement.

    Yes, if you are doing basic applications (pretty much anything but gaming, rendering/encoding, a few other really intensive applications), then the Celeron M is A-OK! ;)

    Personally, I think spending a few dollars more (and it is not that much more) getting the low end Pentium M will be better than getting the celeron.

    I think if your laptop is going to be plugged into the wall most of the time and all you are doing is office and surfing, a Celeron M will be fine. Even the occasional trip out just as long as you don't expect more than a couple hours.
