Forget talking to Dell I talked to DHL and they will hold the package at their Jacksonville Service Center I hope......

Then a bit of magic... After speaking with DHL, the rep. informs me that the package is out for delivery today...?!?!?! Gasp! Am I dreaming? Apparently not, 'cos right now I'm surfing the interwebs on my sweet new 1420. Nice.
But it's not all peaches and cream, folks. Straight off the bat my Vista installation was broken. To pieces. After a quick chat will tech support, a reformat, and restoration of factory settings, all is good in the 'hood.
Compared to the Vostro 1500 which I just returned today, this machine seems to have hit the sweet spot for me. Smaller and lighter, and not to mention higher spec'd than the Vostro. Also, this SEC screen is a definite improvement on the AUO that I had on the Vostro - richer and more vibrant.
Looks like I won't be needing that bottle of Jack after all... -
My order arrived in Orlando FL closer to Jacksonville I hope mine arrives Monday!
