    Why have I not been able to get any of the coupons to work on the E1705 lately?? I thought maybe the earlier ones just got used up, but now the $650 one isn't working either. Anybody else get that thing to work?? I am helping a friend buy a computer, but it would be stupid for him to buy a Dell without a coupon!! Any help would be appreciated :)

    I don't know what the deal is either. I tried to use the $600 off one on the E1705 and gave me some affliate offer error. I'll send a PM to abaxter and see what the deal is.

    the same is going on with me....the coupons are not working....somebody help out....the E1705 is otherwise account draining...

    it appears Dell is for some reason blocking the e1705 from working with the coupon, works on the 9300 but not the e1705 -- this is odd because here's what they said in their email to us:

    Limited time offer beginning 1/18/06 6:00am CST through 1/26/06 5:59am CST or after 4000 redemptions (whichever occurs first)

    ONLINE ONLY: Save $650 on SELECT Inspiron¿ notebook purchases $1999 or more (before tax ,shipping & handling)! Does not include XPS notebooks. May not be combinable with Deals of the Week, mail in rebates, dollars off, percentages off, or select other promotions. Only one coupon may be applied per cart at checkout. Coupon code expires after first 4000 uses, or earlier if offer is terminated earlier.

    doesn't say anything about no e1705 but apparently it's not working :(

    Hmmm, that's a shame. I see no reason to pay the full price for that computer. If none of the coupons are gonna work, I think I will help him look at a different brand. There are better models with the new processor than the E1705 if you can't get a coupon, at least in my opinion. Oh well, thanks for the replys!!

    I think the key word here is SELECT, which I interpret it as saying that not all the Inspiron notebooks are available for the coupon codes. :(

    It'd be nice if they told us specifically which notebooks it will work on, i'll try sending an email to ask them if they can do this in the future.
