Ok, so I know lots of people out there seem to hate the AUO 1440x900 screen, but for me, I can deal with it. However, when I first got my Vostro 1400 about a month and a half ago, the screen had two smudge marks in it, like imperfections in the glossy coating. Fortunately, Dell happily sent me another screen that I replaced myself. Unfortunately, it was the same AUO screen, but like I said, I can deal with it.

Today, about a month later, I notice a small chip, about the size of a grain of sand, on my screen. This actually bothers more than the "graininess"! I'm not sure if it's something I did to cause the chip, or it was always there and I just didn't notice it until now. How lenient is Dell when it comes to proving one way or another? Will they be happy to send me another replacement screen, no questions asked regarding if it was something I did to cause the chip?

I just want some opinions here before going through the hassle of calling, shipping, and replacing the LCD screen yet again. Thanks!
