    Check this out...newly posted.

My biggest dislike with Dell Canada is just this. They refuse to come up with deals like this. I couldn't imagine an advertised $399 deal in Canada on a laptop.

Actually the discounts aren't all that great. If you add the warranty, all the discount value goes right out th window.

I need to retract a bit because im pretty happy right now...

I just got a new Toshiba U300 loaded (refurb) for $499 Canadian. There were only five available and went to the first callers for The Brick furniture for all of Canada. I was caller number 3. Even for a refurb Wahoo!!!!!!

    What a deal!!!!

The website and spec. sheets/options also differ greatly from the one I use with regard to Dell.

No idea why, it must cost more to seperate several completely diferent website infrastructures where one and some currency conversions at the basket would suffice...

It's not as if the component hardware for a 'generic' Dell originates in The States to begin with either.

The systems are built in the same place and Dell pays the same for the parts. There is no difference from the Dell cost of a US/Cdn/Asian/or system from any other country I am sure.

I am kind of glad because if the sale did apply to Canadians I wouldn't have pushed and got the subsequent deal.
