Was looking @ building my own on Dell's Website and I noticed that the RAM that they offer, besides being overpriced, is listed as dual channel while the RAM I have found on other online vendors for that particular model isn't listed as dual channel. Is it a typo on Dell's part, or are they the only ones who offer dual channel for that particular rig? If they are the only ones to offer dual channel, then IMHO, it's worth it to get the RAM from Dell cause it'll be alot faster in the long run.

Anyone else know what the deal is?

    Thanks in advance

Dual channel is not a feature of the ram module. With the new Sonoma platform when you place 2 identical DDR2 memory modules, they run in "DUAL CHANNEL" this "theoretically" offers double the bandwidth. (In fact it's no more than 30% more bandwidth). If you use one module you will run in single channel.

So dell is not offering something you cannot buy from anywhere else.
