Here is my question. I'm a bit worried about the screen. I have searched the forum and found that a decent number of people have had issues with the wxga+ and above. I could not find a clear answer as to people having issues with the wxga 1280x800. Should I be worried? Also once I have received my laptop how would I go about finding who the screen manufacture is(a link to the thread that should how to would be great)?
On a side note, I wanted to try to keep the price under or at $1000.00 and this seems like a decent deal to me but I do worry about the T5470 since I do game. How big of a difference is it from the T5470 to the T7300?
Thank you for any guidance you could give me.

Either you like the screen or you don't. The manufacturer is irrelevant. If you don't like it, send it back. The most import factor for gaming is the GPU.

Ok, I understand what your saying about the screen. I guess you can have a good AUO or a bad LG. Would still like to know how the T5470 compares to the T7300. Thanks.

I think with the 8600GT... you shouldn't be too worried.... you have good FSB... so the main difference between the processors is the Clock speed (1.67 vs 2.0) and L2 Cache (2Mb vs 4Mb).. which probably doesn't play that GREAT of a difference.

I think if you get the AUO screen you'll be very pleased unless it happens to be defective.

auo makes some GREAT displays i saw some at office depot on a coupls of those systems on dsiplay that looked great.. it seems dell either uses the bottom of the barrel or poss seconds i dont know but wherever they get their screens from they suck
Another Dell Screen Question.
