that person must have not known about notebooks and how you are not supposed to leave it in hot weather especially in a car where it retains heat

Yeah the Inquirer isnt really known as a truseted news source. I mean come on, read the story, its completly riddiclous. The names are clearly made up, who has a name like Brandon Marsmaker? It also said that flames were shooting 3 feet out the windows, I find that hard to believe. If you've read the confirmed articles on the real incidents, the flames got about that high. So how long would the flames have to be if it was on the floor, then out the windows another 3 feet? An old 66 ford truck is basically all steel, excpt fir the seat and wiring and such. Yeah the bullets, but those wont cause huge flames, they would just discharge. This story is clearly made up, and is just fueling the exploding dell stories.

I agree. Just something else people are using against Dell. They all like to hate. I like the way the guy said "I'm sure it came from the Dell laptop. Those things are dangerous and people need to know." I guess leaving three boxes of ammo in your glove box is safe...

Anyone hear about the Mac that caught fire the other day? http://laptops.qj.net/Looks-What-s-Exploding-Too-An-Apple-Powerbook/pg/49/aid/60771

Funny, if you read the linked article, it's nearly word for word the same, but on the other site (which appears totally credible btw ;) ) they say that the flames were shooting 12 feet into the air. Nice.

The media is nothing but an outlet of the government to change the masses think, and it works.

I personally, don't just go with the 'flow' of the media, I like to read more and check out what is really happening myself.

Anyways, people need to suck it with this anti-Dell hatred and such, I mean I think the only reason why we hear more about Dell's is because they're the most successful notebook company right now quantity-sold wise.

Say if Apple sold the most laptops in the world, then everytime there is a fire you would hear about it because there is ALOT of their laptops out there which increases the number of incidents, I am sure there HP, Toshiba and more incidents but you don't hear about them as often because they don't happen as much because their brands don't sell as much as Dell's worldwide.

    Amen..Rep point for you.

Just dont get all super liberal about the media and such, I was just commenting on how you hear more about the problems of sucessful companies (ie Dell) and not the government leading us into a new world order and such, thats all just bull crap and a chef salad.
