    Hi!
One week ago I recieved my Dell Precision M65 laptop and so far I love everything about it! Except for one problem, and that is when closing the lid. Everytime I close the lid, and open it again, all windows and the trash icon (placed in lower right corner) have been resized and moved to the upper right quarter of the screen. It as if whenever the screen is closed, it changes the resolution of the screen to 640x480 resolution, so everything that exceeds that resolution, is beeing resized and moved to the first 640x480 pixels of the screen. I have a WSXGA+ display, 1680x1050 pixels, and in Windows, I have chosen the option of "Do nothing" whenever the lid is closed.
Have anyone else here on this forum experienced this problem? It's really irritating, cause I have to resize and move everything each time I open the lid. I have installed all of the newest drivers, both chipset, BIOS and graphic card. Any help or tips will be greatly appreciated...

    Edit:
I forgot to mention that I'm running Windows XP SP2

It may be trying to switch to external display once lid is closed. Check under display properties.

Yes, that's what I'm thinking too, but I can't find any option to turn it off...

Well, I found the solution to the problem, so if anyone experience the same sh**, here a link:

Appears Windows was changing resolution to 800x600 whenever the lid was closed. Not anymore! And just to mention, I was having trouble finding the right key in regedit, so do a search and change everyone with the name "LidBehavior" (I found 4). Reboot and enjoy!
