Im off to college in two weeks, and i started to install some other devices I used to use on my desktop. My logitech mx510, plantronics headset, and a usb wire to connect to my phone. However, the only problem Ive had with mixing them together is with my mouse and touchpad. After installing the mouse's drivers, and removing the mouse, the double click feature on the touchpad doesnt work. I am however able to use the "left click" button below the touchpad, but I am very used to just using the pad to do the clicking occasionally...is there somewhere simple i can adjust this problem? thanks..

check your touchpad settings. You can view these in the control panel under mouse or touchpad.

thanks..i just had to reinstall the dells touchpad drivers after the logitech drivers. I did some searching and found out that this is actually very popular with these laptops, and dell's own forums are flooded with the exact problem. Guess ill just have to keep the switching to a minimum, for now.

Didn't even know you could use the touchpad to click on something, much much easier now. However I dont think I have a touchpad driver installed, because I can't access touchpad settings in controll pannel There is no yellow question mark in device device manager either. Trying to find where this touchpad driver is located.

it's on the driver site located under input devices....i noticed when i reinstalled windows last weekend, the touchpad driver didn't get installed properly and i had to reinstall it. Once you do that (believe you have to reboot) click on mouse in control panel, and you'll see several more tabs than before

Ohh yea, this is much better, now i can make my touchpad open up firefix or any programs I want with just tapping it, good stuff.
