    Hey guys,

I've just got my XPS m1530. All is great aside from one annoying problem, the fans! They seem to go off randomly and are quite loud and annoying. Usually I wouldn't mind but as I am going to be using this laptop at uni, in lectures, it'll be a tad embarrassing if the fans start going AWOL as it would disturb everyone.

    Heres what I've done:

I've run through the undervolting guide. Temps for cpu lowered from 70/73 to 51/56. The fan is a tad quieter but not quiet enough! I'm not sure why the fans start running when I'm idle. I've only used the laptop for browsing/text etc..nothing remotely cpu intensive. Infact the cpu temps are quite low - currently 42/46.

Any ideas how I can quieten them down. [im on windows xp o/s]
