Lemme know guys, do you think I should give in to my impatience and buy a D820(sweet deal right now), or hold out for Santa Rosa. I know there is always something just over the horizon, but that seems an optimal system to maximize the lifespan of my laptop over the next 4 years or so, with internal wireless card being 802.11n capable, and the larger FSB(800 Mhz). It also seems the best set up for full integration with upcoming Vista Aero.

I guess it's like anything, the question is, do you need a laptop now (or soon), or can you wait til Santa Rosa comes out?
If you don't need anything right now, then yeah, you might as well wait and get a Santa Rosa laptop. But if you actually have a need for a laptop right now, you'd still be fine with a Core Duo or Core 2 Duo based system.
I'd venture to say you might as well get something like the D820 if you get a really good price on it, and use it for as long as you can, then sell it when you're ready to move to a Santa Rosa based system (or whatever else)... that is, if you specifically need it. It all comes down to what your needs really are.

There's always something new on the horizon, I would just go ahead and get the D820 if you can get a good deal on it.
