I have had my Inspiron B130 for a couple years now and have had this problem since I purchased it...now it is imperative that I get on a certain website and continue to run into this problem. When I go a a couple websites (secure site), I get the error message "An Error Has Occurred. Please Try Again." There is no rhyme or reason as to which sites I can get on but I have trouble with the same site every time but I can get to the same site on my pc which is connected via the same router. I am connected to a dsl via linksys router wrt54gs. I am at my wits end. I have tried to disable my firewall with no success. Please...Please...please help!

Windows XP and 6.0. I tried updating my browser but it didn't help and I hated the functionality of it so I went back to 6.0.

Ehhh, if that's IE 6.0, it was already getting flaky for me about a year and a half ago, so I wouldn't be surprised if it is the cause of your problems. Even if you did not like them, did newer versions of IE have this problem?

Well, I don't think there's much you can do then - not if you want to keep using 6.0 that is. Conceivably if you don't like the later iterations of IE, you could try Firefox or Chrome or Safari or any of the other myriad of up-to-date browsers out there...

(K-TRON would recommend you switch to 5.0, but you know... XD)
