    Hey Everyone...

I've had my XPS 140 for almost a month now, and I'm LOVING it. It's so much more powerful and so much more portable then my old dv4000.

I have a slight problem though with the DVD+/-RW that it came with....the drive itself functions fine and does everything it's supposed to, but the sliding tray has about 1/4" of play once its locked in and closed...

When I have a CD or DVD in and the drive is being read, it makes this slightly annoying tapping sound, that goes away when I push in the drive to close the really small gap that's there...unfortunately when I take my finger off, it comes back out that little bit, and starts rattling again. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Like is there a screw or something that can be tightened, or is this a call dell issue?

    Thanks for the help!

i would check the optical drive locking screw on the bottom. if not that then it is a problem with the drive and you should contact dell.
