I was going over my config. and notice below it says OPERATING SYSTEM FREE Upgrade to Genuine Windows Vista™ Home Premium with 1GB of memory.
I also check box for 1GB instead of the 2 GB option. Does this mean i will have 2 GB laptop?
    Thanks

E1405..I wasn't sure had i checked the 2GB option it would have been 3 GB. Because of what it says about the free upgrade.

nonoooooo...If I understand what you are asking, no, you are not getting another 1GB on top of the configuration. You are getting the 1GB IN the configuration, from what I can tell.

I'm pretty sure it means that you get a free upgrade to Vista Home Premium if you configure the system with atleast 1GB of memory, which you have.

    Sounds like your getting 2x512's.

I'd get two. I have XPS m1210 with 1GB and i am planning to upgrade my memory.

I have the Go7400 Graphics card, so the GPU alone takes 196mb of RAM (turbocache).

In XP, my RAM usage is around 800MB when I open lots of windows
