    Am I a sucker for buying this?

    I purchased a 1721 from QVC 7/22/07 the ruby red for $1480(on special value), with tax & shipping $1615.10 before I found out about this site and before I thought of going to the dell website to research it, I was so desperate for a computer I jumped on it. Comes with 3 yr warranty & microsoft office 2007 and lots of other software that I will use, since I run a internet based home business.

    I went to dell and configured the same system for about $1500


    It was shipped 8/3/07. My cc still hasn't been charged....I'm not calling to tell them that though-I'm sure they will figure it out!

    As long as i've seen some waiting on this board i'm thinking i'm going to keep it, instead of waiting 1-2 months.


    Was this a decent deal or did I get had?? :)

    Well, 100 dollars isnt that big a difference.. and you have learned your lesson to do better research before buying.
    So i think its pretty good considering you didnt have any information and knowledge of the sick deals people get in here sometimes.

    Ignorance is truly bliss..I thought I was getting such a deal at first....I could have done better

    I paid $102.13 for taxes, so I could have done worse

    Yeah, that's one big advantage from ordering from the TV I guess, is that you will get your laptop a LOT faster than other people who have even ordered theirs weeks before you have.

    Not really there are dell stacking coupons out there that will save you 300 + 150 = 450.00 So you did get ripped off. I am not going to sugar coat it for ya. Don't feel bad once a sucker never again.

    I dont know what you have been reading but coupons haven't been stacking. There isnt much more than the 300 bucks off.

    Yeah, it took that off already when I configured a system at dell.com


    I had also ordered a 1501 from dell outlet, which will be coming next week too-I'll see which one I like and return one.
