OK, I have an Inspiron 6400 with the specs in my sig, I don't know if anyone else has this issue or ever had it but yesterday I was first playing NFS:MW and the game totally froze and then after that I turned off the laptop and later I turned it on to play some Counter-Strike Source and somethings where discolored (Pink) which usually means the videocard is overheating or something is wrong with the GPU because on my desktop when my 6800GT rams burn-out it did the same thing.

I'll try to get some screenshots if I come across this but it seems the X1400 is overheating or something involved with the videocard is taking a hit with the heat.

To me, I don't hear or see where the fan of the videocard is, Isn't there supposed to be an opening where the fan can output the hot air from? Just like the CPU in the back?

Try using the program "I8kfangui" to see what your temps are, that would give you a good idea if it is overheating. In the mean time, if it gets any worse I would just call dell.

Alright I attached a log file from I8kfanGUI during a game of Counter-Strike:Source.

I didn't touch any fan controls to see how it operates at Dell's settings.

    What do you think?

Wow, that is getting border-line hot towards the bottom figures. I've had overheating issues on my desktop (as we speak a bedroom fan is keeping the thing cool, blowing air into an open side). So you could say overheating is my pet-peeve. I would definately contact Dell, and if you've seen discolouration, chance the GPU has already sustained damage.
