Was having issues with the latest drivers Dell were offering for Vista so decided to look elsewhere for updates. I came across version 7.2.303.107 on Toshiba's website and now all my issues have gone and I get many more configurable options.

Create a system restore point for safety.

Uninstall Dell's drivers for the Alps Touchpad and preferably rename the folder 'DellTPad' within 'Program Files' to ensure it is not used.

Reboot and install the drivers from Toshiba's website. You'll notice a load more configurable options. Dell have obviously cut down their GUI to only give control over a few things. The Toshiba drivers appear to be more 'Alps' designed rather than a redesign by an OEM.

If Dell are going to alter someone else's software then please ensure it works rather than locking us into what you only want us to use.

Hope this info helps someone! :)
