Just bought a 17R-SE. I also bought an SSD and inserted it into the 2nd bay of the 17R. I then deleted all the original partitions of the 1TB drive and 32GB mSATA, and installed Win7 in the SSD. After Win7 installation, I went to Disk Management to create simple partitions of the 32GB mSATA and 1TB drive as the D: and E:. I then install all the device drivers from the driver disc. After reboot, the 17R works perfectly except ALL NON-OS DRIVES ARE MISSING

I can't even see them from Disk Management. But from bios, it can recognise both the mSATA and the hard drive in the 1st bay.

Any clue for what happened and how I should fix it. Thanks a lot.

    1. you use wrong bay........windows always on bay 1
    2. of course all data (such as drivers, etc) gets erased if you do a full formation without cutting up NEW (fresh) partitions.

put ssd in bay 1...install windows.
follow the windows pre-installations properly.......(actually, you dont have to bother of that....all data is gone anyway)....its not the whole world...just download new drivers, data,,,,etc
