    Hey there. I have read all over to see what Im doing wrong;

    These are my spec:

    Inspiron E1705, UXGVA 17' 2.0Ghz DualCore, Nvidia 7900GS, 2GB DDR2 4MB CACHE etc.

    I erase.. everysingle partition... created 2 partitions, installed xp on one... DONE... then I installl a Acronis to fix my paritions so I have 1.4 GB left unpartitioned. there there it is... by this state I have all the dell applications installed. Dell Quick Set, dell support. they sent me the all the disk... (which in fact came out in total of $75 which home I don't really get charged like people are saying) and so the Direct Media Installation when okay. completed. When I shut down and turn on with Media Direct it tells me that I need the file: windows root, Window\System32\hal.dll that i need to install a copy. I check on the C: and the Z' the hidden partition media direct installation makes and both have it.

    Do anybody know What im doing wrong?? :mad: :mad: :eek:
