    Recently; I was browsing through my February 2005 Dell catalog. And have stumbled across some very weird/amazing. For those that don't know. When a Dell catalog has "WHILE SUPPLIES LAST" next to a Inspiron, this usually means that that model is going to get updated with minor updates or be completely remodeled. And, I saw that Dell is changing/updating a lot of it's laptops for Spring! Check out the one's that are going to get updated:

    Inspiron 1000 - a processor update
    Inspiron 1150 - a possible new design
    Inspiron 8600 - an update (Possible change to 8700?)
    Inspiron 9200 - configuration changing to Inspiron 9300
    Inspiron XPS - either an update/change or complete loss of model

    Only time can tell, when these updates/changes will occur however; Dell has it's hands busy to update it's Inspiron line. Probably most of Dell's laptops will be updated to support and upgrade option for the new Sonoma chip!

    Windows - The operating system that runs the world.

    Toshiba - Quality, price, and features!

    Come on Apple and/or Dell! Waiting for the new G5 or 9300. Want a new 17" rig. I trust shortly after the release of the said, the 2nd generation will prove to be worth a purchase.

    Dell Inspiron 8600:
    * 1.6 Ghz Pentium M * 1024 MB DDR SDRAM * 60 GB 7200 RPM HD * 15.4" WSXGA+ * Internal Bluetooth * Intel Pro/Wireless 2200 * 4x CD/DVD Burner (DVD+/-RW) * ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 Pro Turbo 128 MB * Win XP Pro SP2 *

    * Apple 17" PowerBook G4 * 14" Toshiba Tecra 8000 * Apple 14" iBook G4 *

    I hope they don't change the case for the 8600, that way I can upgrade the motherboard.

    Are those the exact dates? (madaxle) Thats great. Too bad the 9300 doesn't come a couple days earlier so it would be under the $600 off coupon. Are those USA dates too?

    Is there a replacement for the 8600 in the near future?
