8400M G is slower than 8400M GS because it has only 8 stream processors while GS has 16. Asus F9 (AMD Turion 64 X2 1.8Ghz, 8400M G 128MB) scores 1100 in 3D Mark 2006 according to this review. While my M1330 (T7250, 8400M GS 128MB) scored 1645 (without any overclocking or tweaking).

If you don’t care about graphics performance, then Asus should be ok.

Will the 8400M G be able to play HD videos decently?

Yes . Because even an integrated Intel X3100 coupled with a powerful processor like a Core 2 Duo can handle HD videos.

IMO, the m1330 is a much more attractive looking laptop.

I didn't expect the X3100 to handle HD videos. I thought that it was only slightly better than the Intel GMA 950 which couldn't handle HD videos at all. If the 8400M G could handle HD videos decently, then it's a good enough graphics card for me.

Yes, I agree that the m1330 is more attractive looking, but I'm worried about all the problems that some users have been experiencing lately regarding it. I was planning to order mine all the way from Singapore, and I would be forced to pay a lot more just to get the international warranty whereas the international warranty of the Asus is built in to the base price.
