So I just did a clean install and I'm having trouble finding the drivers for the creative sound blaster card that I have. Also, the creative media source organizer 5 was previously installed on my laptop, which I went and downloaded from creative, but when I go to install it there is an error message and it says there is not a supported device on my computer. Is this because I don't have the drivers for the sound card yet? Any help would be appreciated.

It's not a Creative SoundBlaster CARD. Rather, it's just audio SOFTWARE. It's not important for having audio. You actually have a SigmaTel Sound Card.
Unless you have a license key to activate the software, you may not be able to install and use it.
I may be wrong, anyone else have an idea? -

The Creative Sound Blaster is not a driver, it's only software made to enhance your audio device.
I believe you should look for a device called Sigmatel Audio under their Driver Support. It should be listed under Audio/Sound Devices. -
Spot on Mike.
Hope we've helped, perry! -
Right on, thanx a bunch. Any clue as to why I cant use the creative media organizer 5. Especially considering I was just using it before the clean install.

You should be able to use it after you installed that Sound Blaster software.

Yeah, unfortunately it wont let me install it though. I've installed the sound blaster software and it's still a no go. Which is really frustrating considering I have a creative mp3 player. Any suggestions anyone.

Have you installed the Sigmatel Audio Driver first? It must be installed before you can install the Soundblaster Software.

Yes I have.

Alright, I got it to work. Thanks for the help!!!!

I had the same question, but I could never find the soundblaster software. Any ideas where I can get this?
