I plan to do a Clean Install as soon as the A07 is on Dell's M1530 support page and I'm considering dual booting Vista & XP. I've also held off installing Lojack and Norton until after the clean install too.

I like the old XP as it is much faster and some of those programs don't work with Vista so I'd like to still use XP, BUT a lot of new programs are geared toward Vista so I'm forced to go with Vista. There are some things I like about Vista too.

Any harm in doing a dual boot?

I think Lojack installs into the bios so even reformats won't get rid of it and I wouldn't dream of Norton, (Sorry Norton) You can get much better anti virus and firewall systems for free which can take less CPU usage and find more viruses. ( Maybe AVG antivirus with Zonealarm firewall?)

Anyway, I'm not an expert at dual booting so i'l leave that bit to other people,

    Good luck :)

Well, the only reason I was going to use Norton was I got 12 months free when I bought the notebook. I've been using AVG and have good luck with that one. So, should I just keep on using AVG?

BTW, I can do my clean install this weekend as the A07 BIOS was JUST released!!!

Release Title: BIOS: Dell XPS M1530 System BIOS, English, XPS Desktop M1530, A07
