    The background story
    ---------

After issue after issue piling up on my 1536, I decided that I wanted a refund. Dell refused to do so but instead offered me a system replacement.

Now, I have not yet got the specs and model of the laptop from dell yet but I want to be ready to fight tooth and nail against them.

Seeing as the previous Studio 15 series, the 1535, 1536 and 1537, happened to have problems left and right, some that even firmware updates didn't fully fix (the DVD eject and the media buttons to be specific) I am worried that Dell will send me another 1536 as a replacement for my current 1536.

    My problems

Problem here is that I don't want to receive another 1536 (or any 153x) laptop, and have all of the same problems again and get stuck going in circles for weeks without a laptop.

I have seen more problems in my laptop that I have never seen in about 5 or 6 years of PC and Laptop repair combined, and I really do not want to get stuck with something that will be equally bad and poorly built.

Is there anyone who can offer advice on how to fight Dell to get them to upgrade me to a different model laptop or the new studio lineup if my new specs say "Studio 1535/1536/1537"?

    1. Talk To a Resolution Specialist - ask to have your case elevated.
    2. An Unresolved Issues form: https://support.dell.com/support/to...utstanding_issues?c=us&cs=RC957122&l=en&s=bsd
    3. You can try e-mailing the higher ups at Dell. The list is here in this thread.. :D http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=394802

I would hope you could get some resolve with either of them. You can always look at filing with the BBB if you wanted, also! :)
